Parking Citation Appeal

In accordance with Rhodes College policy you have ten (10) calendar days to appeal a parking citation. If you feel you were issued this citation in error, you are urged to complete this appeals form and submit it for processing. You will be notified that the citation appeal request has been received, and it will be considered by the Appeals Committee.
The Appeals Committee consists of Students, Faculty and Staff and meets on a regular basis to review the facts and circumstances of appealed citations. This committee’s decisions are final, and you will be notified via your college e-mail account of their decision.Excluding extenuating circumstances, it has been determined that the following reasons are not valid for an appeal:

  • Use of flashers in fire lanes or while inappropriately parked
  • Unable to find a proper spot to park in ("lots were full")
  • Inclement weather
  • Other vehicles were parked in a similar manner
  • Tardiness to class or an appointment

Appeals should be filed on-line in the parking registration system.  All of the pertinent details such as the citation number, time and date issued, location, name and R number of the citation recipient must be included in the appeal.
